Sycamore Academy is Sycamore's on-demand training platform, launched January 27, 2026. It provides role-based courses for everyone who touches the platform: administrators, principals, secretaries, teachers, finance staff, librarians, medical staff, cafeteria managers, system support, parents, and students. Content is organized as courses containing lessons, topics, and quizzes, with progress tracking, and is self-paced.
As of September 2026 the Academy library contains 108 published courses, 1,724 lessons, 2,001 topics, and 270 quizzes. At launch in January 2026 it held 37 courses and 417 lessons, and the published target for spring 2026 was 75 courses. The library has grown well past that target and continues to expand on a recurring basis.
Sycamore Academy is available to Sycamore clients via single sign-on, so staff and families reach it with the credentials they already use. Enrollment in role groups is provisioned by the school rather than purchased individually. The Academy lives at academy.sycamoreleaf.com.
No. Academy content is organized into groups for administrators, teachers, parents, and students, plus super admins. The staff libraries are by far the deepest, with the largest catalogs for system support, secretaries, and principals. Parent and student content is more focused, covering the parent mobile app and the basics of navigating the site.
Three ways at once. By role, with twelve role catalogs including Principal, Secretary, Teacher, Finance, Librarian, Medical, Cafeteria Manager, and System Support. By topic, across four categories: System Foundation and Setup, Core Operations and Daily Management, Academic and Student Services, and Business Operations and Specialized Services. And by group, which is how schools provision access for staff, parents, and students.
Certifications are on the roadmap rather than shipped. The Academy today provides courses, lessons, topics, quizzes, and per-course progress tracking. Sycamore has stated that certifications are planned for future phases. One certification course exists today covering Year End Closeout service.
Yes, for a number of states. The library includes state reporting courses covering California, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Wisconsin, including Ed-Fi state reporting content for Wisconsin. Coverage expands as reporting requirements change.
